The 3 levels of Steam Deck personalization

Do you like it colorful, unusual and sometimes a bit challenging / complex?

Us too!

Here is a brief insight into which Steam Deck accessories are available and how you can use them to personalize your deck at different difficulty levels.

Here are 3 levels of (visual) Steam Deck personalization:

Level 1

Steam Deck Cases

With a plastic or silicone case, you can give your console a new look pretty quickly. Silicone cases are often available in bright colors - plastic cases, on the other hand, are usually plain and black, but offer additional functions such as a fold-out stand or a holder for a power bank, for example.

Cases are easy to change and can therefore also be easily combined with skins - which brings us to the second level.

Level 2

Steam Deck Skins

With a skin, you can give your console exactly what you want. Skins are available in all kinds of designs and colors - there are even manufacturers who can create custom skins with your own design. The quality of the material is important for a Steam Deck skin - but if 3M film is advertised, you are usually on the safe side. Applying a skin is challenging, but definitely doable. There is nothing to worry about other than the risk of the sticker breaking.

Once a skin has been applied, it is not easy to change it again - but skins can be combined quite well with colorful silicone covers to create unusual styles.

Check out our selection of skins here.

Level 3

Steam Deck Housing and Buttons

With replacement cases and buttons you can take your console to a whole new level that covers and stickers simply cannot. However, the process of changing a case or buttons is admittedly "a little" more complicated than, for example, applying a skin.

There are no limits to personalization. Standard case with white buttons? White case with standard buttons? Completely transparent Steam Deck? Whatever you want.

We've heard of Steam Decks with replacement casings, some of which had a skin applied and were in a case - but we don't have any pictures of them. Do you? ;)

Feel free to post your console creation in the comments below the post.
