Installing Discord on Steam Deck
1. Start the desktop mode (press the power button for 2 seconds and go to "Desktop Mode" - here are instructions: How to get into desktop mode. )
2. Search for "Discord" in the Discover app (the desktop mode app store) ( Steam key + X to open keyboard)
3. Select Discord and click "Install".
Now you have Discord installed on your Steam Deck. But you can go one step further and have Discord appear in your Steam library too.
Add Discord to Steam Library
- stay in desktop mode after installation
- open Steam and go to the “Games” tab
- Select "Add non-Steam game to my library" at the bottom left.
- Search for Discord and select “Add Selected Programs”
That's it! You have now successfully installed Discord on your Steam Deck and can find it in your Steam library.
